Costa Rica has long been known as a great vacation destination, featuring amazing landscapes from beaches to mountains to incredible rain and cloud forests and more flora and fauna than you’ll know what to do with. Situated between the North and South America continents, Costa Rica has served as a bridge of countless species of animals and plants for thousands of years. The incredible broad expanse of both coasts: Caribbean coast (255kms) and facing the Pacific Ocean (1103 kms). The mountain ranges provide numerous microclimates and a territorial sea of 589.000km2.
Native Costa Ricans call themselves Ticos and Ticas and they are very kind treating everyone as they do family. Costa Rica is a gorgeous country of laid-back, friendly, and happy people. Costa Rica is categorized as one of the happiest countries in the world.
The community here near the Somertime healing home is especially friendly and tranquilo.
Costa Rica has no army Costa Rica has proudly boasted the absence of a military since 1948. Which we believe is another reason why this country has such good vibes.
Costa Rica accounts for only 0.03 percent of the earth's surface (has only 51.100km2). However it contains nearly 6 percent of the world's biodiversity. Its natural wealth, both in species and ecosystems, is partly explained by its geographical position.
Costa Rica generates more than 99% of its electricity using renewable energy.
There 5 costa rica volcanoes that are active, they are the Poás, the Irazú, Arenal Volcano, the Rincón de la Vieja, and the Tu'rrialba. Our healing home is not that close to any of these but im sure if you want to come early or stay later you could go visit them!
We personally are located amongst the primary rainforest jungle. Which is protected but as many places in the world people are pasteurizing- cutting down trees to raise cattle and grow grains etc. Which is the saddest thing we can do to our beautiful sacred Mother Earth. We need to plant more trees and protect the trees that exist here in the amazing jungle providing us with all precious gifts of life in order to live! the oxygen, air to breathe, abundance of fruits, veggies and medicines to receive. Our healing home supports beautiful projects that protect and plant trees here in Costa Rica!
Words cannot describe how healing the trees in Costa Rica are!
an amazing woman once told me "no one can hold you like our mother can, and we should never expect anyone to hold us and love us like she can."

This connection is pure divinity and Costa Rica is a wonderful place to connect with her!
Here at the Somertime healing home we will be connecting with our Mama mucho!
There are many animals here but I will list a few and part of the healing is living in harmony with all that is here. The animals all sing different tunes and serenade us relaxing us through the days and nights.
